Joel Embiid Getting Abusive In A Profanity Laced Rant of Aggression Leaves NBA Twitter In A Frenzy
The Philadelphia 76ers dominated Game 6 of the Eastern Conference first-round series eliminating the Toronto Raptors. Likewise, MVP finalist, Joel Embiid exploded in the series clincher and put Toronto to sleep. Playing in a loud Raptors arena, the fans were giving it to Embiid all game long, However, after dominating them on the court, Embiid wasn’t in the mood to be sweet to the fans.
The Sixers-Raptors series has been a rollercoaster ride for fans. After the Sixers took a commanding 3-0 lead in the series, the Raptors came rallying back in. Despite an injury to their All-Star point guard, Fred VanVleet, they managed to defeat the Sixers in two consecutive games. With Doc Rivers’ reputation of blowing leads, fans were already preparing for a major disappointment.

However, Embiid just doesn’t want to go home without completing the process. The Sixers’ center went off in Game 6 and had a few words for the fans present in the arena.

Joel Embiid takes the Philadelphia 76ers to the semifinals
The playoff atmosphere is already intense as it is. But with the Raptors arena, the energy hits differently. As their team was trying to get even in the series, they were loud and throwing chants all game long. Joel Embiid was mainly subjected to these chants. But the big man found the best way of giving it back to the fans by ending their team’s playoff run.
Living to his loud persona, Embiid did not hold back against the crowd. Notably, he looked into the crowd and said “Shut the f**k up. F**k you.” And NBA Twitter was left in total shock as they reacted to Embiid’s heated moment.

Embiid surely lost his professionalism in the moment as he took his words too far. However, it was the crowd that stirred him up to that point. Joel has always been a loud personality on the court. And with the Philadelphia 76ers as one of the favorites, Embiid was all the more animated. With the pressure of taking his team through riding on him, the MVP favorite did not disappoint.
With a challenging crowd and a tough team to face, Embiid made it look really easy. He put the game to sleep dropping 33 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks in the 132-97 blowout win.
