Kamaru Usman Cheers On as Nigerian Rapper Burna Boy Makes History at Madison Square Garden

The ‘Burna Boy’ made a remarkable debut at the Madison Square Garden as the first Nigerian to headline a concert at the historic venue.

Thus, the UFC’s pound-for-pound king, the fellow Nigerian, Kamaru Usman, sent a lift-up message to the musician.

Usman, who is from Nigeria, shared a message to show his support; The MSG Instagram channel shared the UFC welterweight champion’s not to Burna Boy on Instagram stories.

“Guys, it’s the Nigerian Nightmare Kamaru Usman and I’m here at MSG again, to support my brother Burna, the first Nigerian to headline a concert here at MSG,” said Usman.

Also, he addressed, “I was the first to headline MMA here at MSG. So, my brother much love, congratulations, bigger things to come.”

The show “One Night in Space” was a sold-out event and streamed at 9 p.m. ET on April 28.

MSG is regarded as one of the world’s most famous arenas and headlining any sort of event here is touted as a big achievement. And in the past, the UFC’s pound-for-pound king has headlined a massive UFC PPV at the venue.

Subsequently, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ made his first walk to the arena as a headliner. This marked him as the first Nigerian UFC fighter to headline an event at MSG.

In a highly competitive bout, Usman remained the king of the welterweights. Also, he solidified his position at the top of the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings.
