Michael Jordan’s Son Finally Responds After Surprising Accusations Storm His Mentions
Michael Jordan’s Air Jordans are status symbols. His partnership and affiliation with Nike for his own brand since his rookie season. Ever since 1984, Air Jordans has been a major contributor to his massive net worth. Sales of MJ’s shoe brand are worldwide and millions of people have bought over the years. The craze is unreal. It is obvious because of the greatest basketball player ever.
However, in recent times, people have accused the sale of Air Jordans via backdoor, unfair mediums. The accusations have fallen upon MJ’s second eldest son Marcus Jordan. The allegations first came to life last year when the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 generated this kind of intense judgment. The sneaker was mired in controversy, conspiracy theory, and allegations of retail grift. Recently allegations of Marcus backdooring the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 resurfaced this week when notorious sneaker reseller Benjamin Kickz shared a photo.
In a now-deleted Instagram story in response to Nice Kicks about the possible backdooring of the recent Union x Air Jordan 2 collab, Ben Kickz speculated that the brands themselves may be to blame for how he’s acquiring hordes of the coveted shoes.
@SneakerPhetish here’s proof of when Marcus Backdoored to my plug. That 4th van you were talking about… well you see how packed it was. Approximately 250-300 pairs, I personally bought 25 pairs pic.twitter.com/aUh4XMWt1l

Marcus Jordan denies the ‘laughable’ allegations
As more images emerged this week of the controversial Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 fiasco from last year, Marcus Jordan claimed on Twitter that the allegations about him backdooring the limited sneaker were false.

The shoe is a collaboration between Jordan Brand and Orlando-based store Trophy Room, which was founded in 2016 by Marcus Jordan. That is why the accusations have fallen upon him. The Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1, limited to just 12,000 pairs, has been scandalous from when it first leaked up through its messy release last Wednesday. People flaunted pairs on social media before the official unveil. Marcus blamed it on thieves of somehow snatching them from a Nike distribution center. The accusations entailed he backdoored sneakers from his Florida store Trophy Room in 2021. People have claimed that he is offering them to resellers rather than regular customers and potentially making millions in profit in the process.
