PS5 hack will let you play games for FREE – but there’s a weird catch
YOUR PlayStation is getting a huge upgrade that lets you play games for free – but with a big catch.
It’s part of a new game trial system that gives you an extended chance to play-test titles.

Later this year, Sony will completely change the way PS Plus works.
That’s a monthly subscription gamers pay to access certain features, like online multiplayer for the PS5.
But it also turns out that you’ll be able to access timed game trials too.
Now it appears Sony will let gamers play trials of any game worth more than $34, according to a new Game Developer report.

The trials are expected to last at least two hours – for free, with no requirement to purchase the game.
All Sony will require is a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription.
That means you can test games before you actually buy them.
But after two hours (or more, if the developer chooses) you’ll be locked out of the game unless you pay for it.
It’s part of a major overhaul for PS Plus.

The service will be tweaked – as well as merged with game-streaming app PlayStation Now – on June 1 in the US and June 22 in Europe.
Sony says that there’ll be more than 700 games on the platform, offering “more value than ever”.
There will be three different PlayStation membership plans to choose from.
This includes PS Plus Essential, Extra and Premium.
Essential costs $9.99/£6.99 a month and is similar to the current membership.
That means you get two monthly downloadable games, exclusive discounts, cloud storage for saves, and access to online multiplayer.
Extra costs $14.99/£10.99 a month and adds a catalogue of up to 400 popular PS4 and PS5 games.
Then there’s Premium, which costs $17.99/£13.49 a month.
This adds an additional 340 games to the roster, including PS3 games (via cloud streaming) and a backlog of classic PlayStation, PS2 and PSP titles.
You also get cloud streaming access for original PlayStation games in the Extra and Premium tiers.
Finally, you get time-limited game trials to check out titles before you actually pay for them.
“The newly enhanced PlayStation Plus will enable our fans to discover and engage with more content than ever before,” said Sony President and CEO.
“And deepen their connection with the PlayStation community through shared experiences.”
