The video has been viewed more than 70,000 times.

TikTok user, AmandersRuns, detailed how she was charged almost $4,000 for taking Tylenol while having a C-section at a hospital.
The woman accused the hospital of over-inflated prices and for not being transparent about how much they charge for medicine according to an article.
The almost $4,000 bill was her out-of-pocket cost for her care.
In a follow-up video, the woman broke down how she was charged for her hospital visit.

She was also charged approximately $9,000 for pharmacy visits.
In total, she was charged approximately $48,000,00 for her medical care.
The woman who posted the video found out that 24 doses of the medication was sold for $829.99.
Each dose should therefore theoretically come out to $34.58, not including likely costs for delivering the medication, according to the article.

The majority of that cost was covered by the health insurance she has as a public educator, according to the article.
In the video, she said that “Pharmaceutical companies & insurance companies need to [be] held responsible.”
For her out-of-pocket cost, she has been vocal about not wanting to pay it.
However, to avoid having her bill moved to collections, she put $5 towards the expense.
