The Irish undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor faced Puerto Rican featherweight champ, Amanda Serrano, in the first-ever women’s main event at the Madison Square Garden. The historic bout lived up to the hype, and the electric crowd at MSG made it even bigger.

In the 10-round main event for the WBA, WBO, IBF, WBC, and The Ring lightweight title, the champion Katie Taylor and the challenger Amanda Serrano put on a high-paced back-and-forth spectacle.

The official decision of the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano saw the champion defend her gold belts. However, a rematch down the corner wouldn’t be a surprise for anybody.
