Kardashian fans SLAM Kris Jenner for saying she’s ‘proud’ of Travis Scott 5 months after Astroworld tragedy

KARDASHIAN fans have slammed Kris Jenner for praising Travis Scott just five months after the Astroworld tragedy, which claimed the lives of 10 people. 

Kris, 66, celebrated Travis’ birthday – who recently turned 31 – on her Instagram.

The series of photos kicked off with the momager and the rapper posing together as they were dressed up for a fancy event.

Kris’ daughter Kylie, 24, also appeared in the black-and-white images with her mother and baby daddy.

Travis was also seen being a father towards his daughter Stormi, four, and his newborn second child. 

Kris shared a rare photo of her grandson from when they celebrated Easter together.

In the lovely picture, Travis held his son in his arms.

His baby boy wore adorable black booties with red bottoms.

The matriarch captioned the post: “You are such an incredible and amazing daddy.”

She continued: “It is so much fun and such a joy and a blessing to watch you raising your kids.”


The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum concluded: “I’m so proud of you and wish you the most magical day!

“Thank you for being such a special part of our family.”

NOT PLEASED

Fans were not pleased in the Reddit comments section with Kris’ statement towards her son-in-law.

One critic argued: “I just can’t imagine it’s easy for the victim’s families to see him living his best life while they’re still mourning the death of their loved ones. 

“I hope once the legal process begins, he will be held responsible and they can have some closure.”

Another stated: “Travis is responsible for inciting chaos that cost 10 people their lives, including a 9-year-old child.”

A third added: “It’s sad to me that the tragedy seems to have mostly been forgotten by the wider public and it shows.”

A fourth person chimed in: “He’s looking down at those six feet under ground.”

ASTROWORLD TRAGEDY

Critics were also in an uproar because Travis was recently booking multiple festivalstoo soon” since the tragedy.

The Astroworld incident left 10 people dead and hundreds of others injured while the hitmaker performed.

Back in November 2021, Travis took to social media and apologized to his fans following mass backlash for not stopping the concert sooner.

In a statement uploaded to Twitter, he said: “I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night.

“My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.”

Travis added: “Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support families in need.

“Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department, and NRG Park for their immediate response and support. Love you all.”

An emotional Travis then took to social media and said he was “devastated” over what had happened.

The musician repeated that he could “never imagine anything like this happening.”

The TV personality also shared a statement at the time and mentioned that she and her partner were “devastated.”

In the aftermath of the Astroworld tragedy, Travis was dropped from various business ventures as well as the music lineup from the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
