‘Martina Had One Too’ – Chris Evert Takes a Hilarious Dig at Long-Time Friend Martina Navratilova
Over the years, tennis has witnessed many rivalries. However, a classic rivalry that remains an all-time favorite for tennis fans is between Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. Both former World No. 1’s, gave fans one of the greatest rivalries of the sport. In a span of 15 years, the two-faced each other a whopping 80 times in their career.
Even though the two were arch on-court rivals of each other, that didn’t seem to reflect off-court. Off the court, they shared one of the warmest bonds with each other. A bond that still continues to have the same amount of love and respect. An example of the same was seen recently.

Yesterday, the 30th of April, American actor Ken Olin slipped down the memory road. He took to his Twitter handle, uploading a tweet featuring Evert and Navratilova. The post was an admiration post for the two, addressing their accomplishments, on-court, as well as off-court. Seeing the post, a Twitter user put up an honest reply confessing that he had a crush on Chris Evert at the age of 15.
Being tagged in Ken’s tweet, Martina too had a look at the tweet. However, instead of replying directly to the tweet, the 18-time Grand Slam champion opted to read the replies. Scrolling through the replies, she came across the reply of the above-mentioned Twitter user. Taking no time to sprinkle some fresh water on her relationship with Evert, Martina replied to the Twitter user by saying, “Who wouldn’t?!?:)”

During her playing days, Chris Evert was known for being one of the most humorous players on tour. More than 30 years since her retirement, the humor seems to remain intact. Learning about Martina’s reply, Evert took no time to give it back to her old friend in the most hilarious way. Replying to Martina, Evert wrote, “Martina had one too!!!” She accompanied her reply with laughing and keep quite emojis.

Revisiting the clash of the titans
Re-emphasizing the point, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova had one of the most neck-to-neck rivalries in tennis history. The two first met in 1973 at the Akron Open with Evert winning in straight sets. Being the top players in the game, the two met in every other tournament the two played.
