Stephen Curry’s Former Teammate Expresses Keen Desire to Return for Lebron James’ Lakers: “Ain’t Much Better..”

The Lakers played one of the worst seasons so far. The team was expected to be a championship contender but ended up missing the postseason. Not only that, but the new additions to the team didn’t play up to expectations. There were multiple role players on the team, who couldn’t keep up as well.

There are quite a lot of Lakers who are now free agents. The team will be looking to adjust the roster as their last year’s mistake cannot be repeated. But one of the guards is interested in playing yet another season in Los Angeles.

Kent Bazemore would love to go for another run with LeBron James

Bazemore, after a rough season with the Warriors in 2021, joined the Lakers for the 2021-22 season. Kent played 14 minutes a game for the Lakers, averaging 3 points. Though he did not even play half of the season games. In a recent interview, Kent expressed his interest in a probable return to the Lakers.

” You know a lot goes into that, but I’ll say there’s nothing… Ain’t much better than being a Laker right,” says Bazemore when asked if he was interested in coming back to the team.

Despite LeBron’s dominant performances in the last few games, the Lakers couldn’t manage to save a play-In spot for themselves.

Bazemore has shown great interest in returning saying, “Oh for sure 100%, yes, sir.” The team has parted ways with its head coach, Frank Vogel, and is targeting Quin Snyder and Doc Rivers.

Bazemore played his worst season after 7 years

The Warriors drafted Kent in 2012. He was traded the following season to the Lakers where he had his best season so far, averaging 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Though his best run was with the Hawks, Kent was traded again in his third season. After playing in Atlanta for 5 years, Kent went to Portland, and Sacramento the following season.

He was reunited with Stephen Curry in the 2020-21 season, where he averaged 7 points and 3 rebounds a game on a 40% shooting from distance. It was his best 3-point shooting percentage ever.

Kent was yet another example of being one of those players who improved his shooting simply by playing for the Warriors. It will be interesting to see him back on the court and hopefully playing more games the next season.
