Josie Gibson screams as she abseils down TV Centre in London dressed as Spider-Man

JOSIE Gibson screamed as she abseiled down London’s Television Centre today dressed as Spider-Man.

The This Morning presenter, 37, took part in the stunt to mark 20 years of Spider-Man on the big screen.

As the moment played out on Tuesday’s edition of the ITV show, Josie quickly realised what she’d signed up for.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield cut to former Big Brother star Josie hanging over the edge of the building and he asked: “How are you feeling?”

A worried-looking Josie replied: “My spider senses are telling me maybe this is a bad idea!”

“If you like action movies then you wanna tune in to this because this is the real action here. I’m really nervous!”

As Josie screamed while making her way down the building, Holly offered support and said: “Oh Josie, you’re nearly there!”

After making it safely to the ground, Josie said: “I’ll be a superhero yet!

“Celebrating 20 years of Spider-Man films, and don’t we just love it. I don’t know how to get out of the harness but I’m so glad I did that!”

Josie revealed earlier on in the show she had undergone hypnotherapy to help her with her fear of heights. 

And, before starting her ascent, she added: “It is a lot higher than I thought it would be, you just look down there and everybody looks like ants.

“But I’m gonna try to channel my inner Spider-Woman and get down that wall!”
