Thanks to their immense popularity and the location of their home court, the Lakers have numerous celebrity followers. One of them is Snoop Dogg.
The Hip Hop legend once famously heckled Shaq during a game. Interestingly enough, Shaq was unable to do anything to him mid-game. Talking on The Big Podcast with Shaq, O’Neal divulges the details regarding their interaction.

When one talks about the greatest players in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal is always in the mix. Furthermore, one of the best periods in his life came with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Interestingly enough, Shaq has had a number of hilarious encounters on the court. One of them is with Snoop Dogg. The Hip Hop legend is a long-time Lakers fan, and he regularly attends their games. Interestingly enough, Shaq revealed how big of a heckler Snoop really is.

Shaq said, “Being real, Snoop Dogg stayed on my neck from the brother’s side….. But listen, I loved it like you know what to call them out to the game, come on these dudes need you.“
Snoop Dogg is just one of the many celebrity fans of the Los Angeles Lakers franchise. Shaq mentioned how prominent actor Jack Nicholson was also part of the fans who heckled the players.

Safe to say, Shaquille O’Neal knows a lot about the Lakers and their traditions. After all, he spent the best time of his glorious career with the Lakers.

He won 3 consecutive NBA titles with the Lakers and Kobe Bryant in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Playing for the Lakers, Shaq averaged 23.7 points, 2.5 assists, and 10.9 rebounds in 8 seasons. (Source: basketballreference.com)
His career in the Lakers ended after he was traded to the Miami Heat. He went on to win his fourth and final NBA title with the Heat in 2006.
