Microsoft Frustrates Xbox User Owning a Limited-Edition Console With a Poor Response
There was a time when Xbox made a critical error by stepping away from its focus on offering a console centered around games. Those times seemed to be sitting firmly in the rearview mirror as Xbox learned from its mistake and doubled down on the gaming community once more.
Redditor highlights a key issue with Xbox that left him disappointed
Surprisingly, Reddit user u/iamvirtchu’s experience with the American console maker left him sad. The redditor reportedly bought a special Halo edition Xbox Series X console, which soon malfunctioned. After spending little time with the device, it allegedly broke down and stopped working completely. However, this incident did not break his spirits as he put it up for repair with company.
What followed next wasn’t something he had anticipated and it definitely left a bitter taste in his mouth. The American gaming giant reportedly stated that it wouldn’t be able to repair the special edition device, despite the user being okay to pay an extra sum. He was soon notified that in return the firm will only be able to offer a normal Xbox Series X.

He claimed,” I think it’s pretty much a downer that you can try so hard to get a limited edition item and not be able to receive it back; but instead just receive a standard version when repair is required less than a year from the time the limited model released. This really put a sour taste in my mouth and I don’t know if there’s anybody higher up that can help?”
It definitely is unfortunate for the user to receive a downgraded version. Moreso when he has been waiting for months to pick up the special edition console.
