Nate Diaz Eyes UFC Fight With Conor McGregor’s Potential Opponent Charles Oliveira

Fluid trash-talking is never Nate Diaz’s best facet. He learned it the hard way during the press junkets leading up to his fight with Conor McGregor. The Stockton gangster keeps it real, and it keeps it to the point. Moreover, Diaz has been vocally restless with the UFC not getting him a fight since his UFC 263 loss to Leon Edwards.

Nate Diaz is always ready to fight anyone, anytime, given he’s injury-free. But since the UFC isn’t exactly lining up to provide him with fights, he’s calling out the fighters by himself. The one thing that needs to be noted here is that Diaz isn’t willing to fight Conor McGregor as he currently considers the Irishman sub-par to his level.

That being said, he’s now eyeing McGregor’s potential opponent for a return. Nate Diaz took to Twitter to subtly call out Charles Oliveira with two videos of him getting submitted and knocked out.

The first fight was against Anthony Pettis in a featherweight bout. With no caption, Diaz just posted the video to show them that he lost to an opponent that he beat before.

The second video was Oliveira’s fight against Donald Cerrone, who won via a TKO. Again, Cerrone was also an opponent that Diaz previously beat. Diaz captioned the second video with a sarcastic sad emoji and could have been hinting at a fight pitting him against ‘Do Bronx.’

How would Nate Diaz hold up against Charles Oliveira?

Nate Diaz losing fights twice in a row after a long career in the UFC seems enough for fans to write him off as a ‘washed up’ fighter. But the truth is far from it. Styles, as well as notoriety, make fights, and frankly speaking, Nate Diaz versus Charles Oliveira might be a really good contest.

Nate Diaz and Charles Oliveira are masters at BJJ, and Diaz’s striking game is elite. Moreover, Oliveira is a fighter that takes a lot of damage. This is also a pivotal factor in deciding who would win. If proceedings go to the ground, the grappling exchanges themselves would be amazing to watch.

This fight might be a treat for BJJ enthusiasts, and to be honest, the bout could go either way. Do you want to see the UFC book it? Who will you be backing?
