Interestingly enough, an NBA expert feels Giannis is better than Kobe in his prime currently. While Giannis is having one of his best seasons, it is still an outrageous statement to make.
According to Colin Cowherd, he likes the midrange. This is the reason he rates Antetokounmpo over Prime Kobe Bryant currently.

Interestingly enough, NBA analyst and expert Colin Cowherd feels Giannis is better than Kobe Bryant. The reason being? The midrange.
While it might have been a long shot to even compare Giannis and Kobe a few years ago, his performances have started conversations such as these.
Cowherd said, “Remember, Kobe was a volume scorer. He was not efficient. Giannis is efficient. This is hard. Come on. These are not easy questions. See, I don’t like flash and glamour. I like the midrange.”
While there is no one close to Michael Jordan in terms of mid-range scoring, Kobe Bryant’s shooting efficiency is no less.
For example, during the 2006-2007 season, Kobe took 500 fewer shots compared to Jordan’s 1996-97 season. Interestingly enough, Bryant shot around 44 percent that season.

On the other hand, Jordan averaged around the 50 percent mark during the 1996-97 season despite taking more shots than Kobe.
As for the Greek Freak, he is having one of his best seasons in terms of mid-range shooting. Antetokounmpo is shooting 41.5 percent from the mid-range while taking 3.1 attempts per game. This has been his highest since the 2015-16 season.
