Lebron James “Would Love to End Up With the Cavaliers” Alongside Son Bronny James, Claims NBA Insider

LeBron James has been playing in the league for 19 years now. He has played for 3 franchises so far and has won at least one title playing for each team. Throughout his career, he has been either the best or the second-best scorer on the team. Now at 37, James will play 3 seasons at best.

LeBron has expressed his wish to play with his son, Bronny, for at least one season. Next season will be James’ last year on the Lakers contract. After the 2022-23 season, LeBron will be an unrestricted free agent and will probably sign his next deal as a one or two-year contract.

LeBron James might look to end his career in his hometown

After James’ Lakers contract end, he will have one more season before Bronny gets drafted. His son will be eligible for the NBA draft in 2024. If James would still want to play with his son for at least a year, then the 2024-25 season might be his last. If playing with his son during his last season is not memorable enough, a father and son duo in Cleveland would definitely be. NBA Insider, Dan Patrick, said that LeBron would love to end his career in Cleveland.

“And if you’re LeBron, I truly think that he would love to end up with the Cavaliers.”, said Dan. He talked about different teams LeBron could play for to win a championship, as he won’t be able to do the same with the current squad, believes Dan. Bronny James is ranked 40th on ESPN recruiting.

Making it to the NBA is extremely tough. Though for Bronny at the early age of 17, has made his probable entry in the 2024 draft. Not only that, but in his first season, he will play with his father. A father-son duo has never been seen in the NBA, and it will be some duo to watch.

It would be interesting to see which team LeBron would play for after the next season. It might be a one-year deal with the respective team as James will just have to hang around for one season before he gets his wish come true.
