Mike Tyson, the man, the myth, the legend, never fails to dazzle the audience with his razor-sharp one-liners. The professional fighter has had a fantastic career in boxing, but even at 55, he continues to amaze the audience. Currently, Iron Mike is running his own podcast show on YouTube.

The WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was invited as a guest on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. While talking about wrestling, Tyson mentioned, “I’ve been a wrestling fan before I even thought about boxing. That’s why when I’m on my, when I’m on the stage and I’m talking I’m the baddest man on the planet, I learned all that sh*t from wrestling. How to brag, and Muhammad Ali did too.”

Iron Mike reveals that he has been a fan of wrestling even before he started boxing. The boxer further added, “He just went to the butterfly and I went to tough, mean routes, you know what I mean. So, wrestling was successful because it was a soap opera for men. And that’s why I became so successful.” 

The camaraderie of Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson

Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson are two boxing legends who fought in separate eras. However, it is well known that they both have a great deal of respect for one another. Despite the fact that Ali died in 2016, Tyson still praises him and admires his narrative, struggle, and achievements.

Back in the day, Tyson even mentioned it on a show, “Every head must bow, every tongue must confess, this is the greatest of all time.” 

WWE and Boxing 

Both of these sports have a sizable following currently. Previously, it was dismissed by the educated and upper-class. People have developed a taste for these sports over time. In boxing, you can only use your fists to attack your opponents, however, in wrestling, you can use your entire body.
