“Best News Ever”- Carlos Correa Provides Positive Update About His Finger Injury
Minnesota Twins got their worst news on Thursday when their marquee player Carlos Correa suffered a finger injury against the Baltimore Orioles. However, things are not that serious as Correa seems to be doing fine.
After the arrival of Correa, the Minnesota Twins are playing on a different level. Though the Twins did not get the start they wanted at the beginning of the season, things are working out for them now. Since Correa is playing his first season with the Twins, he took some time to adjust to a new environment.
The last season was more of a humiliation for the Twins. They finished their season at the bottom of the points table of the American League Central. And now, with Correa by their side, the Twins are donning the AL Central. Recently, in the fourth game of the series against the Orioles, Correa became the victim of multiple hit-by-pitches.
Carlos Correa to return to the Twins lineup sooner than expected
With Correa becoming the backbone of their side, his injury would have been a massive loss for the Twins. Earlier this week, Correa had to leave the ballpark when the Orioles pitcher consecutively hit him by pitches at the plate.

As per MLB.com, the Twins conducted an X-ray on his right-middle finger and later sent him for a CT scan to know the gravity of the injury. But, Correa seems to be fine, as the reports do not suggest anything worrying. The Twins shortstop said he woke up to the best news ever.

“I went to sleep last night, and then I show up and I hear the best news ever. Looks like it’s day to day. I get to play baseball soon, so I’m very happy,” Correa said. “It’s a great day, man, really it is. Got some bad news last night, and today I got the best news ever. It’s crazy to think about it. I tried to be in the lineup today, but they wouldn’t let me.”
Correa also confirmed his well-being via his Twitter account. He tweeted, “Thank you Lord”.
