“Doesn’t Matter What They Want Me For”: John Cena Shares What Makes Him Return for a Match in WWE
WWE superstar John Cena is infamous for his “You can’t see me” catchphrase. However, it’s been so long WWE universe actually hasn’t seen Cena in WWE. It has been a while since Cena has been out of the WWE scene. Additionally, his last appearance at WWE was when he fought against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, in 2021.
Recently, On Backstage’s In The Envelope podcast, John Cena revealed only a good storyline makes him drive to return to WWE for a match.
On the podcast, Cena stated, “So if I read a script and I’m throttled by it and I just I love the story and I feel as if I can contribute to the story. It also doesn’t matter what they want me for, they could be a small part walk across the screen and say hi or it could be you know, you with your name on the marquee.”

“I think for me at least it comes down to loving the material and then it goes to the next level of well is this with good folks and sometimes you know. Sometimes I may take a gamble on the groups but I very rarely nowadays. I just can’t do anything that I can’t resonate with and I don’t have some sort of connection.”
The Cenation Leader has made it absolutely clear that the only thing that will tempt him to return to WWE is a great story to something that he believes he can contribute.
When will John Cena Return to WWE
John Cena was indeed the main protagonist of the PG era. However, he has been absent from the WWE since SummerSlam. Additionally, John Cena has also established himself as a top-tier Hollywood actor. The Peacemaker actor has been quite busy with several movie projects.

In his acting career, Cena stunned audiences with his acting abilities, delivering several blockbusters such as Bumblebee, Marine, Peacemaker, and many more. Meanwhile, he had been really busy with his films.
