How did the F1 qualifying session unfold that saw Charles Leclerc on pole?
It was the same Ferrari vs Red Bull once again in the battle for supremacy. While the Ferrari duo of Charles and Carlos locked the front row, Red Bull managed to lock the second row. Former Mercedes man Valtteri qualified ahead of his former teammate Lewis in P5.
Mercedes’s George Russell was out in Q2 despite being pretty impressive throughout the practice sessions. The session hasn’t been a great one for Alonso either, as the Spaniard was out in Q2 for the first time this season. McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo continues to struggle as he failed to make a Q3 appearance once again this season.
