“Like Nothing I’ve Ever Seen Before” – Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez Compares Super Bowl to Inaugural Miami Grand Prix as F1 Comes to America
Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez may be most famous for his days in pinstripes, but he remains a Miami native at heart. Having grown up in the city, Rodriguez has been an integral part of the city, including his investments in the real estate landscape of the city. And with the inaugural version of the Miami Grand Prix happening in the city in 2022, Rodriguez was of the opinion that this event differed from anything he had seen before.
Despite having been in the city for close to 2 decades, the athlete maintained that the energy this weekend differed completely from anything he had seen before. Alex Rodriguez, though an American citizen, spent a lot of his growing-up years in the Dominican Republic.
He, however, moved to Miami and went up the ranks, earning his baseball chops along the way. Completing his high school in Miami, Rodriguez was the #1 pick in the 1992 MLB draft, taking his talents to the Seattle Mariners. But his connection with the city of Miami remained.

Rodriguez, with his vast experience, truly believed that the city had some solid energy pumping through it. The kind no other event had been privy to. Said A-Rod, “I’ve been here my whole pretty much my whole entire life and been through Super Bowls, Orange Bowl, championship games. Obviously, the Miami Heat winning championships multiple times. Nothing has rocked this city like that one.”
And with the championship race hotting up this year again, the country is seeing a wave of excitement race along its width and breadth with excitement to host it bursting at the seams. Said A-Rod, “I’ve never seen anything like it. And really, in America, this is a kind of foreign to us.”
