NASCAR Fans Divided Over Chase Elliott’s Love for Country Music

During the practice session at the Darlington Raceway, Chase Elliott noticed a few things. He observed that at a campground at Turn 4, some fans had set up a karaoke machine. When it was set up, they were enjoying country songs, which he was quite happy about. When he took to Twitter, Elliott only had one request, that they turn up the music because he was totally digging it.

…and some wonder why he’s the most popular driver in NASCAR. This is it. https://t.co/pEOIzjSHym

Evidently, many fans agreed with him, as they were also liking the country music. A lot of Elliott fans were of the opinion that country music was the best kind of music there is. People also began naming their favorite country artists. There were also fans who said that Elliott’s love for country music reinforced their own love for him.

Country music is the best type of music!

There was also one section of the fanbase that debated the different country music eras. Some liked the older music, while others were fond of the more modern genres of the country music industry.

Some Chase Elliott fans were not country music fans

Of course, you can’t please everyone because not everyone will be a country music fan. Some Twitter users confessed that they were a bit more fond of rock and roll music. Needless to say, they did not begrudge Chase Elliott for his music tastes. However, there were other non-country music fans who did not appreciate that the Hendrick Motorsports driver liked that music.

No thanks, I’d rather Rock and Roll all night and party every day.

Ah that’s another reason not your fan. Music taste

Well if it’s pre 2010 I can agree but this new shit is not Country !

Thee absolute worst kind of music

In the end, it is all a matter of personal taste for Chase Elliott and all the fans. Fortunately for the rockers out there, the iconic southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd will be playing ahead of the Coca-Cola 600. The band is best known for songs like ‘Sweet Home Alabama’, ‘Simple Man’, ‘Tuesday’s Gone’, and ‘Free Bird’. So, if they wish, they could all attend the Cup race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway to catch the show and the race.
