Draymond Green Blasts Modern Parents for Questioning Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala Body

The 2022 Met Gala event had the theme of ‘The Gilded Age’. And many celebrities dressed accordingly, including some NBA stars. Kim Kardashian is one of the most influential celebrities in the world. She attended the event in a dress which was once used by Marilyn Monroe in 1962 to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to former US president JF Kennedy. 

But she was on the receiving end of some backlash on social media. It was because Kim revealed that she had to starve herself for three weeks to lose 16 lbs in order to fit into the dress. 

They said the diet was bad for kids. Question… Why does people think it’s up to celebrities to raise their kids for them? It’s baffling. If you don’t want your kid to eat like her, it’s simple… Teach them otherwise.

This was met with some severe backlash as people complained that Kim is influencing their kids in the wrong way. And Warriors’ Draymond Green has come to the support of Kim, reiterating that it is her choice via Twitter.

With all due respect, that sounds great, but unfortunately it’s just not that simple these days. Parents with teenage kids living in the social media era know the struggle. “Celebrities with money are cool. Your working class parents are not.”

But the fans are still not convinced. They feel that the celebrities like Kim and Green have so much influence on kids due to social media. Draymond also said that it is not the celebrities’ job to raise every kid. And pointed out that the parents can’t blame the celebrities for their kids’ actions.

And it was later found out that Kim K also wore a second Marilyn Monroe dress for the Met Gala after-party. Marilyn Monroe wore this dress to the Golden Globes in 1962, where she was awarded the Henrietta Award for her film, ‘World Film Favorite’.

Draymond Green’s NBA career

Draymond Green has never shied away from the public’s eye. He always tends to speak his mind in an unapologetic way. While it has made things worse at times, that is who he is.

The Warriors drafted Draymond Green as the 35th pick in round 2 of the 2012 NBA draft. Green worked hard to climb the ladder in the NBA. Forward a few years, Draymond Green has made the All-Star team four times and made the All-Defensive team 6 times. He has won 3 NBA titles and has also won the Olympic Gold medal twice.

In the current playoffs, Draymond Green became the 5th player to reach 200 steals in the playoffs. By doing so, he joined an elite list of players in Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, and LeBron James.
