I’m a fashion pro….My simple hack will cinch your jeans if they’re too baggy around the waist – and no sewing involved

THOSE who’ve ever bought a pair of jeans know what a nightmare it can be.

If the legs and bum fit, the waist is too baggy – and vice versa, making for a very frustrating shopping experience.

The 23-year-old fashion lover revealed a simple trick for making your jeans fit perfectly around the waist

For the hack to work, all you need is a shoelace, a safety pin and a pair of scissors

Luckily, one savvy fashionista has taken it to social media to share a jean-ius hack for cinching the waist – and it doesn’t involve any sewing and needles.

In a clip, which has since taken the internet by storm, racking up a whopping 2.3 million views in less than 20 hours, the user Lulegret (@lulegret) gave the fashion community an easy tutorial.

”If you’re like me and trousers and jeans are always too big on the waist for you cause you’ve got wider hips or just a teeny waist, I always do this shoelace trick,” the whizz said.

Demonstrating the tutorial on a pair of light-wash mum jeans, Luegret promised to reveal how she gets her waist ”really snatched in”.

For this trick to work, all you need is a pair of scissors and a longer shoelace, as well as safety pin.

”Cut a little snippet on the right side and the left side of the jeans,” she said.

Make sure that this is done on the inside and relatively close to the middle part where the button and zipper sit.

”There should a channel that runs through.”

Then attach a safety pin on one side of the shoelace and ”feed it through” the empty space around the waistline.

This is done until the shoelace comes out of the other end.

Once the mission’s been achieved, you can put your jeans back on – or whichever pair of trousers you’ve just altered – and simply tie the ends together.

Although you can go for a knot – this might be a little tricky to undo when popping down to the loo – Lulegret opted for a simple bow.

”And then you have jeans that fit you perfectly on the waist.”

Fellow fashion fans ran to comments to share their thoughts, with one unfortunate fashionista writing: ”so you’re telling me I threw away my favourite jeans because they were too big and I could have done this.”

Someone else was fuming: ”Anyone remember jeans that had elastic bands in em for this exact PROBLEM???
