WWE superstar Roman Reigns has shocked fans by suggesting he’s thinking about a career away from wrestling.
The current Unified WWE Universal Champion defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in a main event hyped as the biggest match in the event’s illustrious history, but now fans are wondering if he could quit.
During Saturday night’s live event in Trenton, New Jersey, the Tribal Chief broke character and candidly addressed the fans while teasing it could be his last time in the building.
In a video shared on social media, he said: ‘I’ve been here a couple of times in the past 10 years.
‘I’m starting to work into a new phase in my career, and I honestly don’t know if I’ll be back here again. If that’s the case, I just wanna say thank you for all these years of support.’
Fans aren’t sure how to react to that bombshell, with some wondering if Reigns could be looking towards Hollywood and following in the footsteps of his cousin Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Of course, another possibility could be the Head of the Table simply looking to scale back on his hectic schedule and aim for more of a part-time role instead, focusing on wrestling at major events.
Reigns has been a huge part of WWE for the last decade since debuting in The Shield alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, now known as Jon Moxley in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
In October 2018, he stunned fans by revealing he was battling leukaemia for the second time in his life, before making a triumphant return in February 2019 and confirming his cancer is in remission.

He then pulled out of WrestleMania 36 – which took place behind closed doors due to the Covid pandemic – and was off-screen for months, which was done to keep his family safe.
He came back at SummerSlam 2020, winning the Universal Title and starting his run as the Tribal Chief, which is still going strong.
However, his comments over the weekend suggest the star – who previously appeared alongside The Rock in Hobbs & Shaw – might not be around at this level forever, and Randy Orton could be proven right after claiming he would outlast Reigns in WWE.
