Charles Oliveira made headlines before he even got inside the Octagon at UFC 274; The lightweight champion lost his title on the scales as he couldn’t make the stipulated weight – 155 lbs. Thus, only Justin Gaethje was eligible to walk out of Phoenix, Arizona as the lightweight champion.

However, the UFC 274 saw ‘Do Bronx’ prove he is still the head of the division as he prevented Gaethje from achieving his ultimate goal of getting his hand on the undisputed UFC strap.

With the win, Charles Oliveira extended his win streak to 11 whereas Gaethje faced another loss in the undisputed championship bout.

What’s next for Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje

It was unfortunate that Oliveira lost his world championship on the scales, as he earned it after a decade-long rollercoaster of a career. However, he still showed his skill set will be tough for anyone to match.
