Richard Madeley is replaced on Good Morning Britain AGAIN as fans all say the same thing
GOOD Morning Britain fans are begging show bosses to make Martin Lewis the permanent host alongside Susanna Reid.
The Money Saving Expert filled in for absent Richard Madeley, 65, again today with a cheery Susanna, 51, declaring: “Welcome back Martin Lewis!”
Richard Madeley missed Good Morning Britain on MondayRex
GMB announced his return to the hotseat, writing on Twitter: “Tomorrow on #GMB, @MartinSLewis’s guide to coping during the #CostOfLivingCrisis. Join Martin and @susannareid100 from 6am on @ITV.”
And viewers have been impressed by his knowledge and interviewing.
Martin has been highlighting the impact the cost of living crisis is having on the most vulnerable, telling viewers today: “Mental health and money are linked.
“You’re three and a half times more likely if you have debts to have a mental health condition.
“You can understand why, there is something to manifest in depression.
“One of the difficulties with mental health is, as well as the cost of living, we have the letters coming in telling you that you are not paying your bills, they are aggressive.
“Big red letters ‘you must pay now or there will be consequences’ can be quite disruptive and research shows counter productive.
“If you start to threaten people who have mental health issues they disengage.”
There has been no word on the reason for Richard’s absence but viewers have been pleased by his replacement.
“At last a Decent Co Presenter . If you had more like him your audience would go up .” wrote one on Twitter.
Another posted: “ah, #GMB back on form. Susanna & Martin Lewis.”
A third wrote: “Insightful, knowledgeable, champion of the people trying to hold those in power to account. I hope he will hold the regular slot next to @susannareid100.”
“What a breath of fresh air,” said a fourth. “Caring, compassionate and knows what he is talking about. Martin should be a regular on GMB.”
Richard and Susanna have fronted GMB Mondays to Wednesdays since just before Christmas.
