A WORKER claims to have filmed a UFO plunging to the ground as stunning footage shows mysterious light zooming across the night sky.

Conner, of Amarillo, Texas was working the night shift at a meatpacking plant when he reportedly saw the streak of light.

The 23-year-old said he felt compelled to record the lightning storm that was unfolding in front of his eyes.

He added: “I’ve never really recorded the skies or anything and that day of the storm I really felt the need to record.”

Conner admitted he didn’t know what the streak of light was.

He said: “Best case scenario it was a meteor because I’ve never seen one. And worst-case scenario, an alien invasion.”

He shared the footage online, prompting ufologists to speculate about what the clip showed.

Some compared it to HG Wells’s famous novel The War of the Worlds.

In the book, a meteor carrying hostile aliens crashes towards the earth.

Others believe Conner saw a meteor but they were left stunned by the speed it moved across the sky.

But, skeptics believe the flash was a raindrop that caught the light.

But, Conner isn’t ruling any theory out as he said: “I do believe in intelligent life in space.”

Dozens of alleged UFO sightings have been reported in recent months.

In March, Lily Nova, of St. Louis, Missouri, has sensationally claimed that she sees aliens every day after spotting her first UFO during the Covid lockdowns.

She said she had her first encounter with aliens in November 2020 after taking up astrophotography to help cure her lockdown boredom.

ALLEGED SIGHTINGS

Nova said she has encounters with aliens daily and has seen strange objects including metallic ships and black triangles.

She branded her first encounter with aliens and UFOs as “very intense”.

In September, Symaki Scott, of Baltimore, Maryland, claimed to have spotted a series of bright lights floating in the air when heading home.

He said there were six or seven lights that were distinctively orange and round.

After sharing the footage online, social media users recalled apparent identical sightings in cities including Washington DC, Las Vegas, St Louis, and Detroit.

Last summer, Pentagon officials investigated unidentified aerial phenomena after dozens of alleged sightings had been reported by military pilots.

The publication of the UAP report saw the UFO debate soar up the political agenda in Washington DC.

Intel officials produced a report but it concluded that 143 alleged sightings since 2004 remain unexplained.

The dossier could only explain one case and the mysterious object was identified as a large, deflating balloon.

Despite the lack of explanation, Nick Pope, who investigated UAPs for the British Government, believes this year could be crucial for the UFO movement.

He said: “I think 2022 is going to be critical.

“You can either just sit back and let things happen, in which case, you’ll lose initiative, or you can really take what happened last year.

“Having moved from fringe to mainstream, we need to keep asking hard questions holding government to account, and pushing for more initiatives and disclosures.”
