Warped nurse filmed female patients under anaesthetic and spied on hospital staff during sick rampage

A NURSE sexually assaulted unconscious female patients after they had had hospital operations.

Paul Grayson, 51, also secretly filmed five of his female colleagues in hospital toilets during his sick rampage.

The senior nurse made indecent videos of four patients beneath their underwear and assaulted two by touching them at Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. 

One victim said she cannot bring herself to go to another operation she has due at a hospital because she will have to be unconscious.

Grayson had a library of womens’ images taken throughout the decade up to his arrest in December 2020.

He also took and possessed indecent images of children.

He was caught when a young woman he personally knew became suspicious of him filming her. 

She found a library of images of her on hard drives and memory sticks he had hidden. 

Hidden cameras had recorded her naked, including when she was a child, the Daily Mail reported. 

Police found images of other women in the investigation spanning a decade up to his arrest in December 2020. 

He admitted 23 offences of voyeurism, sexual assault, taking indecent images of a child and possessing indecent images of children at Sheffield crown court.

Grayson was in tears when a judge told him he faces a lengthy prison sentence at yesterday’s hearing.

Michael Smith, prosecuting, said Grayson started at the hospital in 1994 and rose to become a charge nurse – the male equivalent of a sister. 

He worked on a one-to-one basis with patients both before and after surgery.

Judge Jeremy Richardson, QC, said he was in a position of “very considerable responsibility”.
