WATCH: Mick Schumacher’s Emotional Message to Sebastian Vettel After F1 Miami GP Misfortune- “He’s So Valuable to Me…”
The highly anticipated Miami Grand Prix has finally come to an end. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen emerged victorious over his championship rival Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. However, it was a race to forget for Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel and Haas’s Mick Schumacher.
Sebastian and Mick collided with each other, which sent both of them out of the points. Both the drivers were running inside the point zone only to take each other out just before the final few laps. Lap 54 saw Mick trying to plunge down the inside of Seb. That’s when the young German collected his veteran countryman.
Talking about this, Schumacher Jr conveyed to Sky Sports F1, “It’s hard to see, it’s hard to judge from inside the car.” When asked if there is anger from his side for Vettel, the Haas driver denied it. “It’s nice that I learn from him. He’s so valuable to me as a friend.”, Mick further stated.

How did Sebastian Vettel react to the collision with Mick?
Mick Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel are known to be great friends. Their relationship goes beyond the paddock. Mick’s father, seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, shares a great bond with Vettel. The relationship with Mick has been very lovely for the last few weeks when the duo was seen checking on each other in back-to-back weeks.
The four-time world champion appeared for the interview after the race. When asked about the incident, Vettel stated, “Yeah I’m disappointed. A good opportunity for scoring points today but I don’t know. I did not expect him to have a look again. When I saw him, it was obviously too late.”

Both Aston Martin and Haas could’ve been in points if the crash didn’t take place. Mick was on the way to picking up the first points of his career. Meanwhile, Vettel could’ve picked up some points to have a bit of confidence back in after the tragic start to his 2022 season.
