Elon Musk Counters Hideo Kojima’s Horror Movie Theory With Intense Top-Selling Video Games
Elon Musk and Hideo Kojima are two tech giants popularly known across the world. Both these public figures are industry leaders in their fields as they have worked their way up to the top. We very well know who Elon Musk is but for those who don’t know about Hideo, he’s a Japanese video game designer. While their base professions differ, these two commonly share a love for video games.
Hideo is known for his popular titles, such as Death Stranding and Metal Gear. On the other hand, we are aware of how much Elon Musk loves video games, as the Tesla owner always speaks highly of them.

In today’s article, we talk about these two personalities as they exchange a few words on Twitter about what might prove to be ‘scary’ for them.
Elon and Hideo: A scary thread
After buying Twitter a few days back, Elon has been the most active person on his app. A fresh example of this would be the conversation between the Tesla owner and Hideo Kojima. It all started last night when Hideo tweeted, ‘I was gonna watch a scary movie before I sleep tonight but I’d better not. I’ll stick to reading a book.’
In response, Musk quickly expressed his opinion saying, ‘@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN Video games are scarier than any horror movie by far.’

His response remained uncanny for a few, as people did not know what he was referring to. But that does not mean that he’s wrong, right? I mean we have seen some of the most horrifying games, such as Evil Within, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil.
The conversation gained little popularity until another Twitter user, Atheena, agreed with what Musk said. She expressed herself talking about how horror flicks were not as scary as some of the video games. Mentioning a horror game, she said, ‘The list of horror games I couldn’t finish is long; a prime example is ‘Alien Isolation.

Elon quickly replied to it, mentioning the ones he felt should be on that list. He spoke about Bioshock, Fear 2, and Deadspace 2, referring to them as great titles.
Love video games!
Interestingly, this thread proves to be insightful, as the Japanese creator was building a horror-themed game, Silent Hill. Unfortunately, the game got canceled. On the other hand, when we look at Elon Musk, we have seen his love for Elden Ring and other games. He even built a prototype of his underground tunnel based on Minecraft.
