Rachel Riley left red faced on Countdown as board spells out VERY rude word
RACHEL Riley was left red-faced during Tuesday’s episode of Countdown when the board spelled out a very rude word.
As usual contestants were asked to form a word from a series of letters – and both came up with the same slightly cheeky answer.

When the time was up host Anne Robinson asked for their answers – with both replying with the word: “P*****.”
Viewers watching at home were quick to spot maths whizz Rachel‘s reaction, with one tweeting a snap of her in front of the board and adding: “That FACE!”
It comes after another very rude answer was given during an episode of the Channel 4 show last week, with someone spelling out “Up vaginas”.
As they announced the spelling, Anne quipped to Jo Brand in Dictionary Corner: “We love vaginas don’t we Jo?”

Earlier this week Anne made the shock announcement that she’s quit – less than a year after she stepped into Nick Hewer’s shoes.
Announcing her departure, Anne – who was the sixth host of the quiz show – told the Daily Mail: “I’ve had a blast hosting this wonderful show.
“And I stayed longer than I signed up for. Now it is time for an older woman to take the reins.

“I hope too I’ve encouraged TV bosses to realise that not all women at the wrong end of their seventies are in care homes playing bingo and watching conjuring tricks.”
Channel 4 sources today confirmed Colin Murray will replace Anne, telling The Sun: “Colin started filming on set in Salford yesterday.
“He will be in the show until late Autumn.”
