Tupac’s Rare Photo With WWE Legend that Would Shock both Rap and Wrestling Fanatics

There are many WWE superstars who have switched from their initial careers to become professional wrestlers. Most of them have achieved success in making professional wrestling a career, while some went back to pursue what they initially started.

Meanwhile, there are also many superstars who became successful WWE superstars and then went on to pursue their actual passion. Stars like Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, R-Truth, etc are some examples of the same.

Sometime back, WWE Superstar R-Truth appeared in an interview on the Hot 97 podcast. He recalled his days of pursuing a music career before becoming a wrestler. He also talked about meeting rapper Tupac at Jack The Rapper convention.

Truth said, “I was doing street thing….. North Carolina, that’s where I grew up. I’ve been doing music since Jack The Rapper. That’s where the picture with Tupac, Eazy-E and all of them come from. If you Google me with Tupac, yeah they’re all legit.”

R-Truth goes by the name Ron Killings in other promotions and in his music career. Killings wanted to pursue a career in rap music. However, some turn of events in his life made him try his hand at pro wrestling.

He struggled a lot to support his music career. The below picture is the one he said legit photo with Tupac at Jack The Rapper convention.

If the dark period would not be a part of Truth’s life, he thinks he would have succeeded as a rapper. Although his life had different plans, and that was to become successful in wrestling. However, since joining WWE in 2008, he has again started pursuing his previous career and has made a good hip-hop-loving fanbase across the world.

R-Truth wanted to have a good life after he had seen the dark period for a long time. Eventually, this opportunity was given to him by the legendary promoter Jack Crockett. R-Truth saw his first-ever wrestling match at WCW when Crockett took him and told him how he can become a wrestler.

Truth explained the experience, “I never been to a wrestling show in my life, but I was aware of it …….. Ric Flair’s music hits. He comes. Oh, sh*t 15,000 thousand people go crazy…. He’s like, ‘See that can be you right there. All that rapping and dancing you were doing in there, you could come down rapping your own music that you wanna do. Get in the ring, and you can fight, and mix all your moves together.”

R-Truth is glad he got a second chance in his life. He thinks Jack Crockett came like a god in this life and told him to become a professional wrestler.

Most of the wrestling fans are aware of R-Truth’s current run with WWE. However, he was a part of the company as K-Kwik from 1999 to 2002. He is also a two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion and in WWE he has won 24/7 Championship a record of 53-times till now.
