“Worst NBA Player Ever”: MVP Nikola Jokic’s ‘Jokic Brothers’ Fire Flurry of Insults at Rival Markieff Morris in Latest Takedown

Nikola Jokic is most likely to win the NBA MVP for the 2021-22 season and will be officially announced sometime this week. This marks Jokic’s second consecutive MVP after winning it last year. And this is for the fourth year in a row that an international player has won the award. Prior to Joker, Giannis won it in 2018-19 and 2019-20.

Jokic brothers took to Twitter to celebrate this achievement, but they had someone specific in their minds.

In a game played in November 2021, between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat, Nikola Jokic was ejected from the game. Notably, the ruling came because of a hard retaliation on Markieff Morris, who had first fouled the reigning NBA MVP.

Jokic took exception to the hard foul and retaliated. Things then got heated and benches for both the teams cleared too. It was also reported that after the game, some members of the Miami Heat were waiting for Jokic in the hallway.

Jovic and Morris had a violent spat during the game between the Nuggets and Heat.

Jokic brothers took to Twitter to celebrate their brother’s MVP. And it looks like they hadn’t forgotten Morris. See below some of their tweets sent out today:

Jokic and this season’s journey

Jamal Murray never came back from the ACL injury he suffered last year. And Michael Porter Jr’s season was also finished early due to back problems. Hence, for most of the season, it was Jokic alone who carried the Nuggets on his back. Jokic finished the regular season, averaging 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists on a 58.3%/33.7%/81.0% shooting split.

He led the Nuggets to a 48–34 record for the last direct playoff spot (No. 6). He became the first player in NBA history to average over 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists in a season.

He was the only player in the NBA this season to finish in the top 10 in points, rebounds, and assists per game. Jokic also had the highest single-season player efficiency rating in NBA history at 32.85.

His co-stars were injured and the Nuggets couldn’t make it past the first round of the playoffs. However, it doesn’t take away the fact that this was a historic season for Jokic and he is a once-in-a-generation player.
