Jimmy Butler’s Miami Heat Set to Make Huge Splash for 3-Time NBA All-Star in Early Morning Shocker

Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell were very clear on the “him or me” scenario when the Utah jazz failed to qualify for the next round of the playoffs. They exited the first round of the playoffs after losing the game series 4-2 against the Dallas Mavericks.

As it turned out, the Dallas Mavericks were a bad matchup for the Utah Jazz. Before the game, Rudy Gobert was adamant to maintain a healthy front in front of the media as he said that the team needed to focus on the game and not listen to the rumors of the split. However, it was quite clear that Rudy and Donovan were off the same page once again just like a season or two before. Earlier it was in secret and only rumored but now the move for Donovan Mitchell looks imminent.

Trae Young’s Atlanta Hawks and Jimmy Butler’s Miami Heat came out to be the two teams interested in Donovan Mitchell when the rumors of the rift and eventual trade were confirmed. As things stand from an individual standpoint Miami is the better destination for Donovan as the trio he would be a part of would welcome him with both hands.

Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Donovan Mitchell show the prospect of crazy potential. On the other hand, it seems like the Atlanta Hawks would “need” a player like Donovan Mitchell more than the Heat does.

However, new reports and rumors suggest that one of the two teams have shown detailed interest in the services of the 25-year-old guard.

Fischer also clarified that the Utah Jazz is trying to keep Mitchell happy. This means that Rudy Gobert can be an option for teams to look out for. The report said, “Utah’s steadfast commitment to Mitchell has naturally led rival executives to paint Gobert as the more likely trade candidate should the Jazz explore breaking up the duo.”

One way or another, the idea of Mitchell teaming up with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo is exciting. Donovan has averaged over 25 points per game over the last 3 seasons. He could turn out to become a crucial part of the Heat’s team structure for the years to come. They could then look more like the favorites than just the contenders.

How things stand at the start of the next season is still left to be seen. What is certain is that Utah Jazz would have to let go of either of the two stars. Miami ended the regular season as the first seed. If Miami gets their hands on Donovan Mitchell, the next season they might become even more superior.
