Here Are 10 Companies That Pay Tiger Woods a Whopping $65M a Year

Tiger Woods is among the famous names in the sport and is probably one of the most successful professionals. He has accumulated massive wealth throughout his career and even outside of golf. But how did he earn so much wealth in 2021 while battling injuries caused by a near-fatal car accident?

Despite not playing the 2020-2021 season, former World Number One accumulated a whopping $73.5 in total earnings last year. According to Sportico, he is the 10 highest-paid athlete globally in 2022, and he is the only golfer in the top 20. Moreover, he climbed up three spots from 2021, where he was in the 13th position on the list. Woods was also the highest-paid golfer over the past year.

Woods accumulated $8.5 million through salary and winning, including $8 million that he won through the PGA Tour’s Players Impact Program. But the primary source of his earnings was his marketing and endorsement deals with some of the big companies in the world.

He jacked up a whopping $65 million through endorsements, the third-highest for any athlete. He received this mammoth amount from 10 companies associated with the 82-time PGA Tour winner. Those 10 companies are Nike, Rolex, Bridgestone, Monster Energy, Hero Motocorp, Taylormade, GolfTV, Full Swing Simulators, Kowa, and Centinel Spine. Moreover, his figures prove that even if the five-time Masters winner does not play much, he will receive huge sums through his endorsement deals.

Apart from his endorsement deals, Woods runs a successful golf design company, TGR Design. He commands $10 million upfront to design a golf course and has built layouts throughout the globe. Moreover, Tiger recently opened a 36-hole putting golf course in Sarasota, Florida, namely PopStroke.

Tiger Woods’ 82nd PGA Tour title

Woods won his 82nd Tout title in 2019 at the ZOZO Championship in Japan. He won the event with an overall score of 19-under-par. As a result, Tiger claimed victory with a comfortable three-stroke margin. Moreover, with his win, he equaled Sam Snead’s record for most PGA Tour wins. Tiger carded a final round of three-under-par, 67 to finish on the top of the leaderboard. His final round included three birdies and one bogey on the opening nine holes. As a result, he moved out in two-under-par, 32. Woods made two birdies and one bogey on the back nine to make the turn in one-under-par, 35. Hideki Matsuyama finished as the runner-up to Woods.
