“This Is Why You Take This Game Seriously”: Warriors Fans Furious After Injury Adds Salt to Wounds After Massive Loss to Grizzlies in Game 5
Otto Porter Jr. has been vital for the Golden State Warriors in this series. If someone helped them beat the Grizzlies in the rebound battle, it was him. He hasn’t been part of the starting lineup, but his continued production has helped the Warriors get a 3-1 lead. But now, they have fallen into a deep hole as Porter Jr. was not available anymore for Game 5.
Otto Porter Jr. was ruled out for the rest of the match due to right foot soreness, according to Warriors reporter John Dickinson. He played 12 minutes before leaving. Although he didn’t score any points and had 0-3 shooting with two personal fouls conceded.
It has been excruciating for the Warriors since then. The Grizzlies were leading by 50+ points at one time. The current score is 128-89 still( Update: Final Score was 95-134). Golden State has been torn apart by Memphis in Game 5. What should have been an entry to the finals is now a nightmare.

Otto Porter became an important role player for them this season. He averages 8.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Porter, also, shoots 37% from beyond the three-point arc which is pretty respectable for a role player. It makes it a solid comeback season for the 28-year-old as injuries forced him to play limited minutes. For the Warriors, he had played 63 games, most since 2017-18.
Against the Grizzlies, he has been getting 4.3 rebounds per game. He played 24 minutes and got 13 points in Game 3. Porter put up similar numbers in Game 4 and got 12 points in 26 minutes. Moreover, he has been very good from beyond the three point line. A three point percentage of 60 and 66.7 is just mad, even for a role player.
