Dumped boyfriend jailed for five years for stalking ex until she killed herself

A DUMPED boyfriend has been jailed for five years for stalking his ex until she killed herself.

Sam Knowles, 25, set up more than 50 social media accounts to harass 29-year-old Becky Ellis.

He even told his mum: “I’ll make sure she f***ing hangs herself” — and continued his campaign after being jailed for breaching a restraining order.

Becky — who had a child with Knowles — was found dead at her home in Connah’s Quay, North Wales, last July.

Jailing Knowles for stalking, Judge Rhys Rowlands told Mold crown court that he had contributed in a “fairly substantial” way to how Becky saw herself when she took her own life.

A coroner had recorded her death as suicide.
