Anyone and everyone can practice martial arts. Former UFC dual weight class champion Daniel Cormier proved this by training a deaf female. UFC superstar Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh took to Instagram to share this motivational clip.

In the clip, we see Cormier teaching ground impound skills to Jenn Jones, a deaf female. Despite her disability, Jones doesn’t let it limit her and passionately trains in Cormier’s new MMA program. Cormier wrote, “Today I met Jenn Jones; she is deaf but wants to learn MMA. It was fun to meet her and watch her get through the training, even with her disability.”

Fans filled the comments with love and positive messages. Even Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh shared this heartwarming and inspirational clip on his Instagram story. He tagged Cormier and captioned it, “@dc_mma and @trainalta showing MMA really for everyone!”

Daniel Cormier’s Successful UFC Journey

Daniel Cormier’s MMA journey is inspirational, to say the least. The American transitioned from Strikeforce and had a long career in the UFC, lasting seven years.

Since joining the UFC, Cormier won all of his first four fights, which earned him a light heavyweight title shot against Jon Jones. This was the start of a historic rivalry in the organization. Cormier lost the bout at the end of five rounds by a unanimous decision.

A couple of months later, Jones was stripped of his belt because of the ongoing hit-and-run incident. Cormier competed with Anthony Johnson for the vacant belt at UFC 187. He won this bout via a rear-naked choke in round 2.

He then took on Jones again in a grudge rematch. There was a lot of trash talk before the fight, and the fight lived up to its hype. Jones landed a beautiful head kick, making Cormier wobble and then finishing him with punches. But to everyone’s surprise, this bout was later turned into a no-contest after Jones tested positive for turinabol metabolite.

With this, Cormier was reinstated as the champion. He defended his belt one more time before moving up to challenge Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title. He won this bout via TKO in round 1. Cormier then defended his belt once more before losing twice to Miocic and retiring.
