Speaking in a interview with Fox News, the former first lady delighted the lucky recipient as she announced a new grant set to start this year.

Celebrating foster care month, Melanie revealed to ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ co-host Pete Hegseth of the initiative to help foster children who were maturing from the system and looking to attend university.
And to mark the feat she surprised the scheme’s first recipient, Michael Whitesman, who appeared shocked as he briefly spoke with Mrs Trump.
“Thank you so much for your generosity,” he said over a facetime call to a smiling Melania.
As she made a quip over the importance to “study hard and get good grades” he replied: “I will, I got you, straight A’s all the way.”

During the interview, Mrs Trump discussed several subjects including NFTS and Vogue controversy, before weighing in on the state of the US under President Joe Biden.
She told Hegseth: “I think it’s sad to see what’s going on, if you really look deeply into it.”
“I think a lot of people are struggling and suffering and what is going on around the world as well. So it’s very sad to see and I hope it changes fast.”
Trump also issued a major update on her husband’s political ambitions since leaving the White House, hinting there was a chance she could live there again.

“I think we achieved a lot in four years of the Trump administration,” when asked about Donald’s tenure.
She added: “Never say never,” when asked if she could be living in the White House again should her husband run for re-election.
It came as Trump himself wowed a crowd during an American Freedom Tour speech on Saturday as he urged Republicans to “take back” the US in the next election.
Trump was joined by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo along with a number of other speakers at the Austin Convention Center.
The former president said: “I ask you to get ready to work, get ready to fight, get ready to win — and win like never before.
“Together, we will take back the House, we will take the Senate, and we will take back our country,” he added
During the first half of 2022, Trump has been spotted at several political rallies in different states, promoting belief from his supporters believe that he may make a comeback in 2024.
Constitutionally, Trump can launch a second White House bid after losing in 2020 as his team previously hinted that he could seek another term.
