Ja Morant, Memphis’s young superstar, is taking the league by storm. He led the Grizzlies to an unexpected second-best record in a tough Western Conference. They are a young and upcoming team which are truly punching well above their weight. And it looks like Ja wants everybody to know that Memphis is here to stay.
Ja recently invited Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for a playoff game in Memphis for this season. After qualifying for the playoffs last year as an eighth seed, this year is a big step up. Memphis is traditionally considered a small market NBA team, but with Ja around and his star pull, things are about to significantly change there.
We have seen how the emergence of Giannis Antetokounmpo helped the Bucks to establish a well-run organization within. They have invested heavily in the team and are now considered perennial contenders as long as Giannis is there.

NBA Playoffs are a great sporting event. Getting to watch them is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Ja‘s invitation to Dwayne not only shows his confidence in himself but also shows that the Grizzlies are ready to compete now and want everybody to know that. Getting a big Hollywood star to come to watch your home games certainly helps in that regard.

Ja Morant – The second coming of athletic point guards?
Memphis picked Ja as the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Murray State. Ja has improved his game every season from thereon. This culminated in him getting his maiden NBA All-Star selection and also winning the Most Improved Player Award. Ja’s game reminds people of how a pre-injury Derrick Rose used to play. Ja makes full use of his athleticism to get to the basket and for in-game dunks.

Ja has also significantly improved his jump shot since coming to the league, which is not an easy thing to do. Along with players like Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr., the Grizzlies have ample time to develop their chemistry and win an NBA Championship. They have all the ingredients required to do so.
