Joe LaCava Reveals the Biggest Improvement in Tiger Woods’ Recovery Since the MastersAnjana PrabhakaranEssentiallySports

Golf is more than a sport for Tiger Woods. It is his life. Even though he gets terribly injured, he always fights back and makes a spectacular return to the tour.

“Hundred percent I see him stronger,” said Joe LaCava, the caddie of Tiger Woods, in a recent interview. LaCava also added the biggest improvement in Woods’ recovery since the Masters. I just think the endurance is there now,” LaCava added

It has been only a little more than a year since Woods met with a single car crash. The accident almost cost him his leg, which was on the verge of getting amputated at one point of the doctor’s diagnosis. Nevertheless, multiple surgeries made him immobile for a couple of months.

It took a team of doctors, nurses, and physical therapists and hours of hard work to make Tiger walk again. He took a year off from playing competitive golf and made a comeback at the 2022 Masters Tournament.

Woods is yet to find his physical best. Yet, he managed to make the cut at the Augusta National and finished at 47th on the leaderboard.  Additionally, Tiger has also registered to play at the PGA Championship this week.

Woods has started practicing at the Southern Hills, the venue of the 2022 PGA Championship. Moreover, he has already been listed among the players that will be giving the pre-championship interview with the press. On top of this news, the update from his caddie is a reassurance to the fans that Tiger is most likely to play at the event.

“I don’t think he’s getting quite as tired as quickly,” LaCava said about the golfer’s condition. “I see more endurance more than anything.’’

Tiger Woods’ victory at the Southern Hills

Tiger Woods is likely to play at the 2022 PGA Championship held at the Southern Hills this week. Hence, it is only fitting to understand his history at the golf club.

Of his 15 major championship titles, four of them are PGA Championships. However, he has only won the event at the Southern Hills once, in 2007. His overall score of 272 helped him win the tournament.

Notably, he tied the course record of 63 set by Raymond Floyd in the 1982 PGA Championship. Tiger scored 63 in his second round at the Southern Hills.

The chances of Woods playing at the major championship this week are almost 100 percent. Do you think he can win the event with the impressive history at the Southern Hills?
