NBA Legend LeBron James Sides With Jurgen Klopp Ahead of UEFA Champions League FinalAniket AwasthiEssentiallySports
The world of sport is interconnected in itself. Athletes of one sport can be fans of the others, and this has been pretty common in the case of football. Tennis star Rafael Nadal is a huge Real Madrid fan, and similarly, NBA superstar LeBron James has supported Liverpool for as long as he can remember.
The Los Angeles Lakers star didn’t just remain a supporter of the club as he now owns a 2% ownership stake in it. His dream of owning a football was facilitated by becoming one of the greatest Basketballers of all time, and he keeps himself updated with the day-to-day news at the club.
LeBron James thinks Klopp has been the best manager in England
Currently, Liverpool are having a fantastic season. Jurgen Klopp’s team have finally reached their peak form this year as they are challenging for all four trophies that they can possibly win. Liverpool have already won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup final, beating Chelsea in the finals on both occasions.
They are trailing league leaders Manchester City by three points in the Premier League with just two games to go. But while City are the favorites to win the title, a draw against West Ham yesterday have strengthened Liverpool’s chances of stealing the PL title. Most importantly, Klopp’s men have made it to the final of the Champions League as well, where they will soon face Real Madrid.
All that being said, it’s only fair that fans would rally Klopp to win the Premier League Manager of the Season award. LeBron James is no different as he put out a tweet saying that his vote would go to the German manager over the likes of Pep Guardiola.
He gets my vote !!!! https://t.co/vSnEqkuoK1

Liverpool vs. Real Madrid in the UCL
However, Klopp must have realized that they have a much better chance of winning the UCL than the Premier League this season. His focus would turn to the season-defining match against a rampant Real Madrid who have come back from the dead in all three knockout stages.
Liverpool will have some added motivation to beat Madrid after they lost the final to the Los Blancos in 2018. However, times have changed since then and it’ll be interesting to see if Liverpool can win it all this season.
