Microsoft has always delivered its best with its Xbox consoles. First released in 2001, it has become a vying competitor to the likes of Sony and Nintendo to mark its stronghold in the gaming industry. Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and S are the flag bearers for carrying on the legacy of delivering an optimum gaming experience to the players.

Keeping up with this momentum, Microsoft is brought a new feature to their next-gen consoles. This new feature improved the party chat and was highly demanded by the fans. Let’s find out more about this.

While the next-gen consoles of Xbox might seem pretty much complete in terms of all the features, there is always room for improvement. The Alpha Skip Ahead users have a new feature that improves party chat in the new Xbox Update Preview. This new feature will process the microphone input through a noise impression step, to be more precise. This will ensure more apparent audio output in the party chat.

The Xbox users will definitely know how much of a pain audio lag can be when playing a multiplayer game. Well, this new update seeks to solve this issue as much as possible.

Microsoft says, “We’ve enabled a new feature that will process your microphone input through a noise suppression step to help produce cleaner audio in your Party Chat session.” They further add, “The setting is enabled by default but can be toggled from the dropdown options menu.”

While the noise suppression function will only be available in Party Chat, for the time being, it may have practical implications in some of Xbox’s most popular multiplayer games. Most importantly, games like Among Us, Roblox, and Sea of Thieves may benefit, as all of these Xbox titles support proximity chat.

There’s nothing worse than revealing a team’s whereabouts or leaking sensitive information because of a defective microphone. In the future, developers may be able to prevent these concerns on Xbox.

So, what do you think of this new feature in the Xbox consoles? Let us know in the comments.
