However, one person has come up with a brilliant hack to make any bra work underneath a racer-back top – and all you need is a paperclip.

The Life Pretty Hacks account shared a video demonstrating the trick, with the person pulling open the paperclip to make a long ‘S’ shape.

They then put one side of the loop around one bra strap and connected the other side to the other bra strap – effectively pulling both straps inwards.

The hack meant that both straps were perfectly covered underneath the racer-back vest top.

However, people were quick to comment, wondering whether or not the paperclip would aggravate the skin on the back.

“Ouch ! that would scratch !” one person wrote.

“Poking is no good,” another added.

While a third wrote: “They sell plastic things to do that nobody’s going to use a paperclip.”

And someone else added that the hack is “impossible to do on yourself”.

Others were more impressed, with one person commenting: “Clever!”

“Cool idea,” someone else wrote.

“Who knew? multi purpose paper clip,” another agreed.
