It’s been 17 years since the Star Wars prequel trilogy came to an end with Revenge of the Sith… and the time has come to reopen those wounds in Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus.
In the trailer for the new series – the release date for which arrives on Friday – it was revealed that tension had been building across the land as Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) evaded being captured by forces working for Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen).
With the cast boasting both familiar faces and new additions to the Star Wars universe, fans are going to be in for one hell of a sparring match as the Jedi Master and his former Padawan Anakin Skywalker come face to face once again.
The show is set 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, when Jedi are being hunted by Force-sensitive fighters who have fallen to the dark side.
