Jeff Goldblum had quite the emotional reaction to Jurassic World 3.

The American actor has revealed he was left in tears after seeing the film for the first time, in which he stars opposite Bryce Dallas Howard and Laura Dern.

Jurassic World 3: Domination comes 30 years after the franchise first landed on our screens, now a firm favourite in millions of households.

Speaking on The One Show with Bryce on Friday, film icon Jeff confessed to breaking down after watching the final cut of the film, with even just a teaser clip on the BBC show pushing him to the edge of his seat.

After host Ronan Keating commented on how tense he looked while the trailer was playing, Jeff said: ‘I’ve gotta tell you, I saw it for the second time last night on an Imax screen. I was like this the whole time,’ clutching his chest with his hand.

‘My heart was in my throat, I jumped out of my skin more times than I ever have at a movie, and I was weepy. I was so moved by your [Bryce] story and everybody’s story.’

He went on to describe the project as ‘a delicious meal of a movie’ which is a great strap line if we’ve ever heard one.

‘I know that’s how I’m supposed to feel but I’m telling you honestly, that’s how I feel about it,’ he assured.

The US star was also keen to discuss his reunion with Laura and Sam Neill, with whom he starred in the OG film and escaped the doomed park all those years ago.

When asked what it was like ‘getting the band back together’, Jeff immediately placed his hands over his heart and pulled a loving expression.

‘We all had a good time together after we went through tremendous things together, you know. Getting back was great. But, let’s talk about them because we haven’t been on screen in 30 years, but the great Laura Dern and the great Sam Neill,’ he began, full of praise for his co-stars.

‘I’m gonna get weepy, I adore them,’ he sweetly said.

‘As everybody knows, the world is stricken with respect and admiration for the both of them, they’re two of our greatest screen artists, but they’re people who are exemplary, noble, poetical, beautiful,’ added Jeff, before remarking that they ‘changed my life forever.’

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the new film – which also sees the return of Chris Pratt, along with new cast members – is set four years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park at Isla Nublar, when genetically engineered dinosaurs were auctioned off by companies and released into the human world.
