Tom Parker’s widow, Kelsey Parker, has revealed how his death has affected their two-year-old daughter, Aurelia, who now worries that her mum isn’t coming home from work after The Wanted singer’s death two months ago.

Tom died at the end of March at the age of 33, after battling a brain tumour.

He was father to Aurelia and son Bodhi, one.

Kelsey heartbreakingly admitted that Aurelia now worries when she leaves for work, concerned that she won’t come home.

Speaking on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch today, Kelsey explained the struggles the family is facing after Tom’s death.

‘Aurelia does understand, she knows that her dad’s gone and he’s not coming back.

‘It’s hard because when I go, if I’m going to work or whatever, she’s like, “Where’s my mummy going, is she coming back?” I think that’s what’s hard,’ Kelsey said.

She continued: ‘Bodhi has no clue, but Aurelia, she struggles with it so more and she’s so aware’.

Kelsey also revealed that Aurelia talks to her dad, telling him she loves him.

Kelsey said: ‘She does talk to Tom. I tell her she can talk to daddy and he’s always listening, he’s around all the time.

‘And then the other day she was like, “Daddy I love you.”

‘It’s heartbreaking.’

The 32-year-old added: ‘My kids don’t wake up sad, so I can’t wake up sad. They’re awake and they’re like what’s happening, what’s for breakfast, what’s on TV, then I’m happy. I can’t wake up sad, I’m doing it for them.’

Last week, Kelsey opened up about moving on following Tom’s death, in a bittersweet post.

After sharing her trepidation at attending a friend’s wedding after his death, his wife shared a photo as she raised a glass at the nuptials.

‘The year of firsts,’ she wrote beside a sun-drenched picture from her pal’s big day, showing her sitting next to a sign dedicating a chair to the Glad You Came singer.

‘My first wedding without my love. I knew this was going to be the toughest weekend and I knew my head would be all over the place.

‘This weekend for me was so bittersweet, I was watching my best friend marry the love of her life yet 7 weeks ago I lost mine,’ she penned.

‘The thing about death is that even though I have suffered the most traumatic experience the world keeps turning,’ she continued. ‘The sun keeps shining and I know Tom was watching over me especially when the sun was beaming on us all day.

‘I really enjoyed myself this weekend and it was so nice to actually let my hair down and be Kelsey. I raised a glass to my boy and I know he’s up there having shots.

‘There were moments when my heart would ache, moments when the tears wouldn’t stop rolling down my face and moments where I laughed until my belly hurt. In this crazy world – Life is for living.’
