Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Dates are pretty iconic, but taking out her ‘ultimate crush’ Drake is still in the works. 

The YouTube star and comedian, 28, has a hot date with the rapper in the works – and it’s going to happen sooner rather than later. 

Drake, 35, first slid in Amelia’s DMs before the Covid pandemic began, and dropped her another comment asking for a Chicken Shop Date earlier this year. 

Amelia told Metro.co.uk: ‘Drake messaged me this year, unsolicited I might add. He said he’s going to make it happen this year.  

‘When he’s next in London I think he will stay true to his word. Either that or he’s really leading me on!’

She joked: ‘It must be hard for him to see me dating lots of other people when he knows we are meant to be together…’

Amelia, who has teamed up with Smirnoff Flavours , revealed she has a special cocktail in mind for the Way 2 Sexy singer.

She confirmed: ‘I’d make him a Smirnoff Raspberry Crush because he is my number one crush.’

Even those that are not familiar with Amelia have been unable to avoid the Jiggle Jiggle rap which has been doing the rounds after going viral on TikTok.

The rap originated on Chicken Shop Date after Amelia asked Louis Theroux if he’d ever spit any bars, and has been impossible to avoid ever since. 

She didn’t know the moment would go as stratospheric as it did, explaining: ‘No, I didn’t expect it at all! I mean, well done to me for asking Louis such a brilliant question, “can you remember any of the rap that you did?”, ha. 

‘I think that is what is so brilliant about TikTok, a rap Louis made up over 20 years ago for a BBC documentary can re-appear on Chicken Shop Date, be clipped up and shared and then be remixed by DJs Duke and Jones.

‘Where else could content be regurgitated into something completely unrecognisable? It’s also been amazing to see so many people from all over the world use the sound and learn the dance. Connecting us all together, I love it. TikTok is magical!’

She added: ‘Meeting Louis Theroux was a huge moment for me because he is a real a hero of mine, I have really studied his craft growing up. 

‘His own awkwardness is different to mine but he has definitely been a big influence on my interviewing style.’

As well as thousands of smaller TikTok accounts using the sound, several huge stars have also made videos featuring the clip. 

Of her favourite, Amelia revealed: ‘Probably Megan Thee Stallion, I am dying to get a date with her. She’s coming to London soon, and I’m hoping for a hot girl summer.’

Amelia’s got a whole roster of stars on Chicken Shop Date over the years, but the ones she would love to have on but hasn’t already are ‘Alison Hammond or Harry Styles – in that order.’ 

She also likes to keep the fraternising to the interview only, adding: ‘I don’t really spend too much time chatting to the guest off camera, best to keep it as awkward as possible. 

‘Also the guest always says they have shoot off afterwards what with their busy schedules – but I know it’s because if we spend too much time together they would 100% fall in love with me.’

A Sai Ta has previously dressed Rihanna and curated the colourful looks for the campaign, and Amelia adds: ‘Yes, one of mine and Rihanna’s many similarities [is A Sai Ta being our favourite designer]. 

‘I actually studied at Central Saint Martins at the same time as A Sai Ta so I have been following his work for a long time. I absolutely love his designs and think he is a true original. I love wearing colour and being playful with style and his looks are totally this. You’re always going to have fun in an ASAI outfit.’
