Gogglebox’s the Baggs family have quit the Channel 4 programme after just three series.

The Essex family-of-four, dad Terry, mum Lisa and sons Joe and George, joined the popular show in 2020, but have now stated they are ‘so busy with other work commitments.’

Announcing the decision on 25-year-old Joe’s Instagram, the family stated: ‘After 3 incredible seasons on Channel 4’s Gogglebox we have taken the decision to leave the show.

‘We have loved every second of being part of the Gogglebox family and it’s truly been the opportunity of a lifetime.’

They continued: ‘With lots of exciting opportunities approaching us all, we just couldn’t commit to filming another series, but are so grateful for the opportunity.

‘Thank you for all your support whilst we have been on the show and over on TikTok. We hope that you’re as excited as we are for what’s coming next!’

Gogglebox fans and co-stars were quick to comment their support, with Ellie Warner writing: ‘All the best to you guys,’ while TikToker Issy Oakley added: ‘My angels, won’t be the same without you! On to bigger and better.’

The Baggs joined the show after producers found Joe’s TikToks, where he shares comedy videos and his day-to-day life with his family to more than one million followers.

Only a few weeks ago, the Baggs sparked concern from fans after appearing to be missing from an episode of the most recent series of Gogglebox.

But they quickly took to Instagram to explain: ‘Ello lovelies, the Baggs aren’t on Gogglebox this week as we’ve had such a chaotic & busy couple of weeks we haven’t managed to film.

While the Baggs won’t be returning for series 20 in September, fan favourites Jenny and Lee have promised they’ll be back, updating fans with the exciting news after Jenny was released from hospital following her minor surgery.
