Former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer has revealed her surprise connection to Love Island series 8 contestant Luca Bish.
Luca was revealed to be one of the first batches of singletons on the line-up and is set to head into the new Majorcan villa when the ITV2 show returns next week.
Patsy wasted no time in celebrating the 23-year-old fishmonger’s place in the competition and threw her support behind him on social media.
‘Omg @lucabish all grown up and going on @loveisland,’ she penned, alongside his official Love Island photo. ‘We cannot wait to watch you.
‘You will smash it so beautiful, kind & funny.’
She concluded her post: ‘Yay from your Malibu crew.’

The exact link between Luca and Patsy has not yet been revealed, but he’s not the only singleton with a celebrity tie as fellow contestant Gemma Owen’s dad is ex England striker Michael Owen.

Luca came out of a long-term relationship about a year ago after drifting apart from his ex.

As for dating, he enjoys meeting girls out and about. ‘I think when you go looking for it, it’s not as easy though, it’s like you’re too desperate for it,’ he said.
‘If I think you’re the one or I like you, I’ll take you out on a date but other than that, if we talk and I don’t like where it’s going – then I won’t be throwing out dates.’

Why has Luca signed up for Love Island? ‘You can see how many couples it’s genuinely made,’ he exclaimed. ‘I don’t know how many kids Love Island has made but there are a few aren’t there?’
Love Island launches on Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
